Extreme Components is proud to present the brand-new GP EVO AERO brake lever protector and the EX SHORT brake lever.
These two products are the result of our collaboration with Alpinestars and the RedBull KTM AJO Team.
They are technologically advanced components with a total combined weight of just 60g.
Let’s take a closer look: the GP EVO AERO brake lever protector is derived from the traditional version (CPLEVO), the first twill carbon fiber brake lever protector in the world, created over 10 years ago and recently evolved.
This new model retains the main features of the original version but includes various improvements and refinements. The weight has been further reduced to just 30g, without compromising the strength or structure of the component. The shape is more compact, with the front portion is inclined to the inside to further reduce airflow and maximize aerodynamics—an especially important factor in categories with limited engine displacement and horsepower.
A key feature remains the descending-ascending profile, a hallmark of all our brake and clutch lever protectors, which allows the rider to safely release their hand in the event of a crash, avoiding the risk of getting “stuck” on the bike.
Alongside the brake lever protector, we also developed a new EX SHORT brake lever, which features many innovations and improvements.
The brake lever is available with 16 and 18 offset options and is compatible with Brembo Racing and Accossato brake master cylinders.
The shape has been redesigned to improve braking feel, whether the rider uses one or two fingers on the lever. After extensive wind tunnel testing, the total length has been reduced: the stub now measures 9.7 cm, with a total weight of 30g.
Also retained is the special bolt that allows for the safety tie.
