Moto3: Important points for Aron Canet.
This weekend the Motogp main competition was held in the German Circuit of Sachsenring, the last round before the summer break.
The Monlau Competition rider Aron Canet started 5th and was able to stay for the whole race in the leading group. In the last lap he had a great battle with another rider and at the end he finished in the same place of the start, 5th.
Amazing race also for Raul Fernandez who rode with the Redbull KTM Ajo Team replacing Darryn Binder, injured last week in a training session. Fernandez started from the 17h place and recovered many positions in just two laps. When he was 6th he was forced to lose many important seconds for a contact and when he returned on track he was25th. Despite this, with an incredibile pace he finished 9th with more than fifteen positions gained.
Unlucky race for the Angel Nieto Rider Albert Arenas who after a positive weekend and after leading the race for three laps had a crash and scored no points for this round.
Now the Moto3 championship standing sees Enea Bastianini 5th and Aron Canet 3rd, -38 points from the leader Martin.
Moto2: Both the RedBull KTM Ajo riders in the top five.
Both the RedBull KTM Ajo riders Brad Binder and Miguel Oliveira were protagonists of a fantastic race. Brad Binder, started from 10th and was able to reach the first positions in a few laps. Showing a really consistent pace he managed the situation until the end, taking the first Moto2 victory ever in his career. His teammate Miguel Oliveira, thanks to a great start overtook many riders in the first lap. With his direct rival on the championship at the end of the group (to avoid a crash in front of him) reached the 4th position and kept it until the end of the competition.
Unlucky race for Mattia Pasini who after the Saturday’s pole position,had a crash in the first lap and was forced to a premature end.
Now the Moto2 championship standing sees Binder 6th, Baldassarri 5th and Oliveira 2nd, -7 points from the leader Bagnaia.
MotoGP: Another positive race for Bautista.
The Angel Nieto rider Alvaro Bautista was protagonist of a really positive weekend from the very first day, staying always in the top positions. In the race Bautista started 9th and thanks to a great start he was able to gain two positions. From there, increasing his pace lap by lap and signing 3 fastest laps he reached the leading group and finished the race 5th, best result of the year.
His teammate Karel Abraham started 23rd and for the whole weekend suffered for a low grip on the rear tyre. In the race he was able to do a great start but lap by lap the problem became worse and he lost the positions gained, finishing 23rd.
Now the MotoGP championship standing sees Bautista 13th, with eleven races still to go.
This weekend was the last before the summer break and the next round will be on the Czech Circuit of Brno on the 5th of August.
