Positive weekend in Portimao

WSBK: Top ten for Leandro Mercado in Race2 and fantastic debut for Alessandro Andreozzi. The Ioda Racing Argentinian rider's, Mercado, that qualified on the 12th position, was protagonist of a crash on the Race1 when he was tenth. In the second race he was able to come back five positions and finished behind one of the two Aprilia Official. Amazing debut for Alessandro Andreozzi, that for the first time participated to one round of the Wsbk Championship. For him 17th position in Race1 and spectacular 12th place in the second race taking the Team Guandalini inside the point zone.
WSTK1000: Great 7th position for Sebastian Suchet in the Portuguese circuit of Portimao. Perfect comeback for the Swiss rider of the Berclaz Racing Team that started from the 4th row hand immediately found a good feeling with his bike, recovering positions lap after lap and finally finishing on the 7th place. Unlucky race for his teammates Federico Sandi that, after he had dominated the whole weekend with the exception of he hot himself in 7th place in the qualifying, left the race due to an engine problem of his BMW when he was third.
SSP300: Difficult Race for Armando Pontone, the Italian rider of the Ioda Racing Team. Started from the 18th place, he immediately was touched by another rider during the first laps. He then tried to get past a few riders but his bike was to slow on the long straight of Portimao and at the and he finished on the 19th position. Top 20 also for the Team Trasimeno that thanks to his rider Angelo Licciardi was protagonist of a good result.
The next round will be on the 1st October on the french circuit of Magny Cours.
