Extreme Components is proud to introduce the new Epotex race bodywork for the Yamaha R9, the worthy successor to the legendary R6. The latest addition to Yamaha's Supersport lineup claimed the World Championship in its debut season last year and is now finally available to riders and enthusiasts worldwide.
The bodywork is entirely manufactured using a cold-laminated twill weave fiberglass construction, combined with a special epoxy resin formulated exclusively to our specifications. The finish is equally exclusive, featuring a specially developed black gelcoat designed to provide superior quality, strength, and appearance.
Thanks to this manufacturing process, our bodywork is among the lightest and most flexible available on the market, delivering significantly better performance than conventional fiberglass or avio-fiber bodywork. All mounting points are clearly marked and reinforced with carbon-Kevlar inserts, ensuring maximum strength and durability even under the most demanding racing conditions.
The bodywork kit includes: - Front upper race fairing, - Race side panels (left+right) - Winglets (left+right) - Lower race fairing - Race tail unit with separate seat unit - Tank cover.
In addition to the bodywork, the Yamaha R9 product range also includes our DOT-certified Supersport windscreen, closed-cell neoprene seat pad, billet rearsets available in three versions, fully assembled on bearings and featuring a fully adjustable monoblock design, with optional carbon fiber heel guards.
Also available are our Advanced or GP (tangential) clip-ons, featuring adjustable handlebar angles from 6° to 10°, as well as a dedicated 29 mm offset clutch lever bracket, mounted on dual bearings and equipped with an aerodynamic, crash-resistant lever.
The range is completed by our brake and clutch lever guards, available in either aluminum or carbon fiber. Frame and swingarm protectors, together with additional carbon fiber components, are currently under development and will be introduced soon.
