Many satisfactions in Magny Cours

WSBK: A really positive weekend on the French circuit of Magny Cours. After a fantastic qualifying session that had seen the Argentinian rider Leandro Mercado get to the second place, he started very well in Race1 and fought for the leading position during the first part of the race. He tried to manage his position and in the end he finished in a great 7th place.
In Race2 the Ioda Racing rider’s Mercado started 4th and showed his great feeling with his bike. However in the sixth lap Eugene Laverty, just ahead oh him crashed and his bike ended in the middle of the turn and forced Mercado to brake and so lose some precious seconds. After a great comeback he finally finished 6th.
Improving (in crescita) weekend also for the Guandalini Team rider’s Alessandro Andreozzi that at his only second race in a World Superbike Round he finished in 17th and 12th place in the first and second race respectively.

WSTK1000: First podium of the season for Federico Sandi and his Berclaz Racing Team. The Italian rider started from the second place in the grid, thanks to a great start he was able to lead the race for a few laps. After a good fight with the two home riders, Marino and Guarnoni, he finished 3rd. This podium has been very important for the whole team which proved to be the fastest BMW Team of the whole Championship, but owing to some bad luck, up to now weren’t able to get a result like that before Magny Cours. Fantastic performance also for the second rider of the Team, Sebastian Suchet, who arrived 6th ahead of the two Aprilia Official.
Only two position off the top twenty for the Italian rider of the Team Trasimeno, Gabriel Ruiu, that finished in 22th place.

SSP300: Hard weekend for Armando Pontone. Due to a crash when he was 1st, the Ioda Racing rider’s qualified 25th on Saturday with an injured foot. Despite the pain, during the race he was able to gain many positions until an early finish due to a contact with another rider when he was at only one position off the top ten, in 11th place. Some difficulties also for the team Trasimeno rider’s Angelo Licciardi which following a good start got stuck in traffic and finished 24th.
The next round will be the last on the 22th/23th October in the Jerez Circuit.

Special thanks to teams and riders for the technical contribution in developing our products and the results they get on the track.
